Natru exists because I needed it.
I'm Stu. I needed a moisturizer that actually worked for my life — one that was clean, effective, and didn't require a nine-step routine. The generic synthetic brands felt more like a chemistry experiment than skincare. And the natural alternatives I found were homemade, inconsistent, or just didn't perform.
A friend introduced me to tallow — an ingredient used since ancient Egypt, prized for millennia for its ability to protect and heal skin under the harshest conditions. The science made sense: tallow is bioidentical to our skin's natural sebum, meaning it absorbs deeply without clogging pores.
But I couldn't find a version I trusted. So I partnered with a dermatological laboratory in Illinois and started formulating. We spent a year iterating — adjusting texture, absorption, and nutrient balance. I tested every variation personally: heliskiing in Canada, surviving the dust at Burning Man, summiting Kilimanjaro in Africa, and enduring Chicago winters. If it held up there, it would hold up anywhere.
